Cappies

Every year, one of Spartan Theatre’s mainstage productions is eligible for student review through the National Capital Area’s Cappies program. Each school that participates in Cappies must also have a team of critics, who go see shows in the DMV area and submit reviews for consideration to be published. In May, the department is invited to attend the Cappies Gala at The John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. at which schools which have been nominated are eligible to win awards for outstanding performances and tech. West Springfield has been lucky enough to be nominated several times in the past!
